"Horror at the Ohio" is short and feature length film festival that takes place at the historic Ohio Theater in the idyllic town of Madison, Indiana. The site first housed a nickelodeon in the early-1900’s, then a movie theatre called the Little Grand Theatre, which burned in 1937. It was then rebuilt as the 1,018-seat Ohio Theatre in 1938. This beautiful theater is now being restored by the non-profit group, Friends of the Ohio Theatre, Inc.

Madison, Indiana is a picturesque community that not only celebrates its rich history, but also incorporates the convenience of 21st century living. Madison sits along the banks of the mighty Ohio River surrounded by beautiful Cliffy Falls State Park and retains the distinction of the largest contiguous National Historic Landmark District in the U.S.

The Horror at the Ohio Festival will be an annual event that celebrates the spirit of Halloween through highlighting horror films and filmmaking, a "Cool Ghoul" costume party/contest, live music, food, horror characters, face painting, etc. At future events, we would eventually like to expand with special guests, a haunted trail/house, a ghost walk, and possibly a parade.
